Battle of the Damned – Fun Trailer

One of the main reasons I love October and Halloween season, is that it becomes a playground for tonnes of genre films with some kind of spooky, supernatural, sci fi elements. I’m also a huge fan of classic action films. These days (aside from The Expendables) our favourite musclebound action heroes are relegated to VOD or straight to DVD movies. That’s sad because if you take the time to seek out these films you will find that they would in some cases have been mega blockbusters in the late 80s/early 90s.

This may not be one of those kind of films, but it looks like a hell of a good time anyway! I have always said that Dolph Lundgren is the most underrated of the action stars. His stature and screen presence are enormous. I love that with age he has become even more intimidating, and the fact that he has a masters degree in chemical engineering and is a grade 8 drummer (honestly!) make him even more awesome than you could possibly imagine.

So it is with great happiness that I present to you the trailer for Battle of the Damned; an action film that melds everything from any film ever into one: Dolph Lundgren rescuing a girl from a town that has been overrun by zombies, and which has been populated by an army of zombie killing robots which Dolph himself seems to take control of at some point! Can you ask for any more than that?…….oh and his character name is Max Gatling!

Ok so you’ve seen the trailer and now you want to know where you can see it and when. Well the good news is that it is available for pre-order now. I’ve got my copy ordered so do the right thing and follow suit. Let’s show Hollywood that Dolph belongs on the big screen, and even IMAX isn’t big enough to contain that much chiseled-jaw-blonde-Swedish blockbuster action!

James is a movie obsessive with a particular love for scores and screenplays. He has written for numerous blogs, sites and cinemas and has been involved in several screenwriting projects. He can usually be found in front of a large plasma screen devouring Westerns, 80s pulp, Jimmy Stewart movies or anything by the Coens.
